The Manor :
The History

The manor was built in 1613 but the story of the Manoir Du Poul dates back to 1013. The people of Mellionnec still recount stories and legends of the Poul and the lords who owned it. At least four servant families lived and worked the land for the lords and there are still people alive today who were born in the manor.

The manor was made famous in the 60s and 70s by a famous Breton singer and songwriter Glenmor, who bought the manor. He is credited with playing a large role in reviving Breton culture and Breton dancing in Brittany. Because of this, the manor is known by many in the Brittany region and is talked about in books written about Glenmor.
